Does my Infiniti's engine need any special attention as it gets older?
Infiniti's engines, including the VQ and VR series V6 engines, are known to develop timing chain tensioner wear over time.
Left unaddressed, worn tensioners can eventually affect timing accuracy and engine performance. Our trustworthy
technicians at Cetus Automotive Repair Centre know to check this area specifically on higher-mileage Infinitis. We're open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, so call (403) 235-2912 if you've noticed a cold-start rattle.
Does it matter if I take my Infiniti to the same shop every time instead of switching around?
Yes, having one shop familiar with your Infiniti's full service history makes it much easier to catch a developing issue early, since we can compare what's changed rather than starting from scratch each visit.
Our trustworthy
technicians at Cetus Automotive Repair Centre keep records for exactly this reason. Start building that history with our shop in Calgary.
My Infiniti Q50 has Direct Adaptive Steering. What should I know about maintaining it?
Direct Adaptive Steering is a steer-by-wire system, meaning your steering wheel sends an electronic signal to move the wheels rather than turning them through a traditional mechanical linkage.
Because it relies on electronic modules and sensors rather than just physical parts, issues can show up as unusual steering feel or a warning light rather than an obvious mechanical symptom. Our trustworthy
technicians at Cetus Automotive Repair Centre have the diagnostic tools to properly evaluate this system rather than treating it like standard power steering.
